The NAGASE Group has over 100 group companies in approximately 25 countries and regions worldwide, operating in a wide range of fields including chemicals, electronics, mobility, energy, food, medical products, and biotechnology.

Since its establishment in 1832 as a trading firm handling a wide variety of materials, primarily chemicals, we have expanded our businesses and functions by addressing social and customer issues under our management philosophy of "recognizing our responsibility to society and maintaining the highest standards of integrity." Currently, we possess trading, manufacturing, and R&D functions, and I believe that NAGASE’s strength is the uniqueness it can provide by combining these functions. By combining the high-added value information we obtain from our networks as a trading firm with customers around the world with our own research and manufacturing, we will deliver proposals unique to NAGASE as solutions to customer issues.

Since becoming President in 2023, in order to respond to the rapidly changing external environment I have advanced the improvement of management speed and efficiency to build a foundation for reforms, aiming to transform the Company into a lean and resilient organization. With the new medium-term management plan "Walk the Talk 2028" having started in fiscal 2026, we will materialize and monetize the growth strategies executed under the previous plan, ACE 2.0, and move forward with building a foundation for exponential growth under a new growth story.

I define sustainability as "returning the Earth, which we are borrowing from the children of the future, in a more livable condition." Along with fulfilling this responsibility through our business activities, we will refine our business model that only NAGASE can deliver, solve customer and social issues through materials, and contribute to the well-being of both people and the Earth.

NAGASE will celebrate the 200th anniversary of its founding in 2032. With all our employees sharing the management philosophy of "recognizing our responsibility to society and maintaining the highest standards of integrity," and while valuing our relationships of trust with all our stakeholders, the Group as a whole will work together to contribute to a better future.
